Essiq Racing top M32 performer in Gothenburg Harbour

Today's racing was held within Gothenburg Harbour on a very tight and narrow course. This seemed to suit Nicklas Dackhammar perfectly, his Essiq Racing Team ending the day with three second places and one win. As the Swedish skipper explained: 'We like it when it's tight and we love to sail in front of our home fans. This was a very good day for us. We feel that we are closing the gap on Team USOne more and more.'
Skippered by US Virgin Islander Taylor Canfield, Team USOne had two wins today, but ended up a disappointing fifth in today's final race. This made Essiq Race Team today's top boat, but only by one point from Team USOne, which remains the overall leader.
Trifork Racing, led by Danish co-skippers Jes Gram-Hansen and Rasmus Køstner, showed improvement on the high performance M32 one design catamaran and were the third best performers of the day.
The forecast for Saturday is looking good with a southerly breeze of around 10 knots expected.
