Ensign Ship Brokers toasted a successful first day of the Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show on Thursday with the sale of a Beneteau Oceanis 40 and a good year is expected by this major Australian East Coast broker.
Ensign broker Lee Randall received a signed order and deposit on the Oceanis from a couple who had come to the boat show to see what was on offer.
'We couldn’t have asked for a better start to the show,' Mr Randall said.
'This was the first time we have dealt with these clients and within the course of one day they had been onboard the boat, sussed out all the details, signed the order and placed a deposit which goes to prove the value of having a display at the show.'
With four Beneteaus on display, Ensign has had plenty of interest at the show already and has high expectations for sales over the course of the show anbd over the next year.
'We are really happy with the interest the 2011 Sanctuary Cove boat show generated,' Mr Randall said.
'It’s been particularly good for the Australian public to have a chance to walk on board the First 30.'
'So many people are impressed by the space on board, saying it packs a lot in for a 30 footer and we expect good numbers to be purchased across the upcoming year..'
Tony Ross provides more detail on the overall Ensign operation.
