Boaters are reminded to keep clear of a section of Pipers Creek at Forster Keys this weekend for the safe staging of powerboat exhibitions.
Roads and Maritime Services has granted Taree Powerboat Aquatic Club NSW an exclusive use aquatic licence to host the event on the creek between 9am and 3pm on Saturday fourth and Sunday 5th July.
The area established on Pipers Creek at Forster Keys will be marked with inflatable buoys and will be monitored by control vessels.
Vessels not involved in the event should not enter the marked area unless authorised by a boating safety officer or a police officer.
Roads and Maritime reminds people to wear a lifejacket when boating, especially in vessels smaller than 4.8 metres when alone, at night or offshore.
