B&G announced new Triton HV Displays

B&G – the world leader in marine instruments, autopilot systems and tactical software solutions – have announced its new range of Triton HV Displays. Dedicated for use on the mast, the new displays complement the Triton T41 combination Instrument and Pilot. Delivering True Wind Angle, Course Over Ground (COG) or Speed Over Ground (SOG), the Triton HV line offers cruising and club racing sailors the highest quality, easy-to-read displays for access to crucial information, in the right place, while underway.

Available in 10/10, 2.6 x 4.5-inch (66 x 114 mm) and 20/20, 4.5 x 7-inch (114 x 178 mm) formats, Triton HV mast displays feature the same unique LCD-bonding technology as Triton Instruments to provide unrivaled contrast and viewing angle with zero risk of condensation. With LED backlighting for outstanding clarity and longevity, as well as low power consumption, users can select which data is displayed via a Triton Instrument. The 20/20 model offers a choice of optional backlighting colors. Easy to install, the Triton HV displays perfectly complement and network with an existing B&G electronics system.

'Our new Triton HV Displays serve to strengthen access to data and offer greater flexibility and efficiency to the most discerning sailors.'

To support the new mast displays, B&G has also released a software update for its popular Triton Instrument Display. Available as a free download from www.bandg.com, Triton Instrument RTM 2 software not only adds Triton HV integration, it enables increased functionality. Available for the first time on a mid-range instrument, the upgrade features a Windplot – a wind trend histogram, engine data support, heel angle data support and an air temperature data display. Offering enhanced representation of analog screens with easier-to-read scales, the update also provides new rudder, heel and alarm functions. In addition the Triton RTM 2 software features user-defined, switchable graphics and an expanded language profile with Norwegian, Swedish and Croatian support.

The B&G Triton HV Displays are protected by a three-year limited parts and labor warranty and the B&G Advantage Service Program. Available in December 2012 from authorized B&G dealers and distributors throughout the United States and Canada, the mast displays have a suggested retail price starting at US $699.
