Australian O'pen Cup - Wind, waves and sun on Day 1

For day one of the 2015 Australian O'pen Cup competitors were greeted by a typical Port Philip Day a sea breeze of 18knts and 1.5 to 2 m waves.
In the Gold Fleet Kristen Wadley TSC came out with three bullets closely followed by local Jack Challands SYC and
in third was Veronika Zivny YCPC to close out the positions at the end of racing.
The silver fleet saw Samual Rose RFBYC followed by Rosali Hennessy PDSC with Will Drew KBSC rounding out the top three at days end.
With the racing being conducted just off Sandringham YC the spectators were treated with close up action.
Racing continues tuesday at 10am with another breezy and warm day forecast.
