Atlantic Circuit Forum 2011 - Learn from the Experts

Learn from the Cruising Experts at our Atlantic Circuit Forum.

As leaders in the offshore cruising world, representatives from World Cruising Club and Yachting World magazine will be joined by a panel of experienced cruisers to bring you a broad range of cruising knowledge and expertise. The Forum will discuss the planning and preparation for an Atlantic circuit, with special emphasis on the ARC, and what to expect in terms of weather and equipment issues.

The venue is the University of East London Docklands Campus, close to ExCel for the London Boat Show. Entry fee is £10 per person and includes a free ticket for the London Boat Show (tickets collected at the Forum).

Event date: Saturday 08 January 2011 from 1000-1200 in London, UK.

Rolex Sydney Hobart: Six retire after first night

Sydney Hobart – The rise of the plateau
There is but 1.5nm separating the race leaders as Wild Thing 100 becomes the latest to retire Here we are, about 15 hours into it all, and there is but 1.5nm separating race leader, Master Lock Comanche from LawConnect, with SHK Scallywag about another 1.5nm further adrift. Note that Lucky is right there too, and Callisto is in 12th place

LawConnect clung to a narrow lead in the early miles as the fleet hit strong southerlies Out on a fast and unsettled Tasman Sea, Christian Beck sounded both surprised and quietly satisfied as his 100-footer LawConnect clung to a narrow early advantage in the opening hours of the 2025 Rolex Sydney Hobart Yacht Race.
