Asia Pacific Int Moth Championships for Takapuna

The International Moth has recently been resurrected in New Zealand after a rather dormant time, with a nationals being held in 2008 for the first time for many years.

This growth is expected to increase this next year with more events, and an established fleet and also the availability of the Bladerider Boats, locally built boats and the class has a very big home build programme going on as well which we would love to see happen in NZL as kiwi sailors are an innovative bunch of people.

The big news for the upcoming summer season is that the Asia Pacific Championships will be held at Takapuna Boating Club on the 5-8th February. The IMNZA has organised a reduced shipping rate to those doing the Australian Nationals and we are currently looking for naming rights sponsor for the event. The event will also consist of a 3 evening sprint series knockout with a finals day on the last day of racing.
