America's Cup- Images of Oracle's AC72 being hauled from the water

by Guilian Grenier on 18 Oct 2012

Oracle Team USA's AC72 was hauled from the water at Pier 80 in surprisingly good shape considering her ordeal yesterday, after capsizing and being sucked out into the Pacific Ocean.

The netting and other 'consumables' have all gone, but the hulls and platform generally seem to be intact albeit waterlogged.

A similar incident to the Open 60 BT during a Trans Atlantic race, it took four months to repair/rebuild, and the boat will be sailing in the upcoming Vendee Globe as Hugo Boss.
