2015 European Championship/Audi-Tron Sailing Series – After a bit of wait on the race course, all racing was abandoned on the final day of the Act five organized by B.Plan Sport and Events (BPSE) in cooperation with Melges Europe.
The result - a massive success story for Dario Levi's Fremito D'Arja and his tactician Niccolo Bianchi and crew members Stefano Lagi and Francesca Masotto - 2015 European Champions and prestigious winners of the Audi-Tron Sailing Series.
'Our main focus in 2015 was to conquer the Audi-Tron Sailing Series, a title that we missed last year,' said Levi post racing. 'I am very proud of my team as they are who made this all possible. We are thrilled to be looking forward to racing at the World Championship in San Francisco where we are excited about facing defending World Champs on Samba Pa Ti. It's their home turf and there are very tricky conditions. All we can do is our very best!'
With no racing on the last scheduled day of the Europeans, Friday's results stand as final.
Congratulations are also in order for podium winners Corrado Agusta on Customly in second and Vladimir Prosikhi on Nika in third.
Levi crowned series champion
It has been an incredible year for Levi and his Fremito D'Arja team. They played the season strong and well. Winning Loano, Riva del Garda and now, the European title in Trapani they are the clear Champions.
Agusta with great success in Monaco and a consistent season throughout Italy, he stands firm in second. Guido Miani's Out of Reach had a wonderful year as well finishing in third overall out of sixty teams that competed on the circuit.
