Clear your diaries and confirm your leave - Sail Port Stephens is ready to set sail from the 16-22nd April 2012.

It's time to book your berths and your beds and get the best posies for what is set to be an week of action both on and off the water.

A record fleet is expected for the Commodores Cup and the NSW IRC Championships and the event is expanding further with the introduction of our 1st Junior Regatta on Thursday and Friday April 19 and 20, the single sail BICS, Optis and Sabots will be out in force competing for the inaugural Soldiers Point Marina Cup.

This event is perfectly timed to coincide with the school holidays and is designed not only to encourage our junior sailors to compete and improve their skills but also, to create a relaxed fun, holiday atmosphere the whole family will love.

The off the beach junior sailors will race over two days on the stunning and protected waters of Port Stephens. Off water there will be heaps of things to keep the kids amused with an outdoor movie night at Soldiers Point Holiday Park plus a range of fun family activities to suit all ages.

It's true, sailors do like to party and Port Stephens is the perfect playground. There's a fantastic apres racing programme planned for 2012 and you can do as much or as little as you please. Racing in 2012 will start an hour earlier each day allowing more time to enjoy the much loved afternoon 'debriefs'.

2012 will see the addition of our Sail Port Stephens Regatta Markets along with a Steak and Oyster night at Soldiers Point Yacht Squadron and a casual beach BBQ at the famous Shoal Bay Country Club. Monday night will be at Peppers Anchorage with the night of nights, the Commodores Cup presentation dinner on the Wednesday evening at Nelson Bay Diggers. Saturday night will be at Sally Shores (dont forget your tropical shirts!).

We will be updating our website regularly with the latest info on whats happening, when and where.
