RS Feva World Championships - All set at Yacht Club de Carnac

There is less than a week to go until the 2014 Allen RS Feva World Championships held at Yacht Club de Carnac, France. 184 boats - 368 sailors and numerous parents, siblings and supporters from all corners of Europe, North America, Argentina, Russia and Hong Kong are preparing to travel to the beautiful French location for this year’s event.

Carnac, on the south coast of Brittany, France, boasts idyllic sailing in one of the most popular sailing venues in northern France. Located in Quiberon Bay, Carnac offers the best of the breeze from the Atlantic but is also protected from the Atlantic swell by the Quiberon peninsula. RS Classes are no stranger to Carnac as a sailing venue, frequently choosing the venue for lots of different events, and for the RS Feva Class this will be their second time there for a World Championship having so enjoyed the event their in 2010.


The 2013 RS Feva World Championships, held in Grosseto, Tuscany Italy saw a British podium with Hannah Bristow and Bobby Hewitt taking the championship title. This year, Hannah is helming for her sister and Bobby crewing for another helm leaving the World Championship title wide open.

The race format is set to sail in three fleets for the first two days, before qualifying into the Gold, Silver and Bronze fleets for the rest of the regatta. The social calendar, in true RS Feva style is set to impress with the Nations Cup two boat team racing, the annual beach games and BBQ all to be held on the scheduled layday, Wednesday 30th July.
