The Royal Yachting Association Cruising Syllabus has been built up over years of best practice development in Sail and Power Boat skippering. Split into a theory and practical syllabus the training modules take you in steps from a Start Yachting orientation through to Yachtmaster for either power or sail.

Navathome Australia is a specialist provider of online theory training based on the RYA Theory syllabus and is recognised by the RYA as a training provider.

You can complete Essential Navigation, Day Skipper, Coastal Skipper / Yachtmaster or Ocean theory at home in your own time. Each course has an accompanying theory kit which includes a training almanac and charts developed by the RYA and Essential Navigation and Day Skipper come with a set of dividers and a chart protractor.

Each online course consists of a series of modules. Topics are clearly explained and worked demonstrations of navigation principles are provided. Each module has a series of exercises to complete and instant feedback is provided together with the answers. At the end of the course the RYA Assessments can be taken online.

On successful completion of each course you will receive the appropriate RYA Certificate of Shore Based Theory completion which will complement the practical courses.

Navathome Australia is a family owned business with a belief in developing safe, competent skippers through excellence in training. The principal Don Punch has a firm belief that sailing should be fun. Having a good foundation of knowledge is the best way for you and your crew to spend less time worrying and more time enjoying the water.
