While racing did get underway in light winds, with a full lap completed, the breeze then dropped to nothing, resulting in the race being abandoned. Unfortunately that was it for the day and the fleet were sent ashore.

Bermuda had it all for the Apex Group Bermuda Sail Grand Prix, with the drama starting on the practice day, when a user-error on the USA SailGP Team F50 saw them capsize at speed, hurling the crew out of the boat and onto the wing sail.
