Ian Williams (GBR) hangs on to World #1 in the ISAF World Open Match Race Rankings whilst in the Women's Rankings Camilla Ulrikkeholm (DEN) stays solid at the top.
For the top ranked sailors there has been just the one regatta to add to their points tally since the last ranking release. Williams remains at World #1 by a whisker, just 12 points ahead of Taylor Canfield from the US Virgin Islands.
The second event of the 2014 Alpari Match Racing Tour, the ISAF Grade W Stena Match Cup in Sweden was an historic affair with Bjorn Hansen (SWE) taking his third consecutive regatta win. Hansen defeated World #1 Williams in the final and he remains at #5 on the World Rankings.
Canfield took the final podium spot in Sweden and also found time to take the gold medal at the Etchells World Championship crewing for tour rival Bill Hardesty (USA), the tactician with Williams team GAC Pindar.
There is just one ISAF Grade 2 event adding points to this ranking release, the O.M International Ledro in Italy. Nicolai Sehested (DEN) picked up the win and, with a tenth place finish in Sweden, moves up one place to World # 6.
Second place in Italy was claimed by Sam Gilmour (AUS) who will line up next week at the ISAF Youth Match Racing World Championship in Helsinki, Finland with a new world ranking of #19. The highest ranked competitor lining up against Gilmour in Helsinki will be Joachim Aschenbrenner (DEN) who finished ninth in Ledro and seventh at Stena Match Cup Sweden to hold firm at World #12.
Outside the top 50, movers and shakers include Joni Erickson (FIN) who claimed victory at the ISAF Grade 4 Audi HSS Sailing Center Summer Cup to climb 39 places to World #69 and Mathew Jerwood (AUS) who climbs 83 places to World #70. Jerwood completed the podium at the OM International Ledro behind Sehested and Gilmour and won gold at the ISAF Grade 3 Krefelder Match Race 2014 in Elfrather See, Germany.

With just one regatta adding points to the Women's rankings, there is no change to the top five positions. Camilla Ulrikkeholm (DEN) has a solid 1635 point lead ahead of World #2 Anna Kjellberg (SWE).
The newly crowned US Women's Match Race Champion, Stephanie Roble (USA), maintains her position at World #3. At the ISAF Grade 3 championship sailed at Oyster Bay, New York, Roble defeated Nicole Breault (USA) 2-0 in the final to take her first national title. Despite only counting six regattas to her points tally, the silver medal for Breault takes her up five places to World #15.
Katie Maxim (USA) completed the podium, defeating Sandra Hayes (USA) in the petit-final, and sees the reward in a 24 place climb in the rankings to World #22. Hayes climbs 20 places up to World #24.
