Two boat team racing - ‘Haofeng’ New Year’s Cup 2014 Qingdao International Marine Club
After two days of intense competition, Qingdao 2014 ‘Haofeng’ New Year’s Cup Two Boats Team Racing held in the Olympic Center came to an end. The first is Team Lantu, which is from Beijing.

This year, New Year’s Cup makes a big difference. It is the first time that two boats racing has been held in China. It attracts lots of sailing enthusiasts, including some professional athletes. During the two days, 46 races have been competed among 14 teams. They are four boats competing in each race. They are divided in pairs randomly. So, during 46 races, sometimes they are teammates, sometimes they are opponents. It's very novel and interesting. Everyone said that they learned a lot from the racing.

Mr. Qu Chun, the race founder, also the manager of Qingdao International Marine Club, said: 'This represents an important first step in the growing interest in two boats teams racing held in China. This year is an exploration. We’ll learn lessons from it and summarize good experiences. We hope two boats team racing will be better and more professional year by year. We have the goal to attract entries from all over the world.'

In preparation for the upcoming City Clubs Open Regatta (CCOR), New Year’s Cup makes a good start. Welcome friends from all over the world to participate in CCOR.
