Van Eyck, the Belgian fine jeweler founded by Alon Garty, was announced as Official Partner for the inaugural Edmond de Rothschild Regatta Series at the Royal Hong Kong Yacht Club.

Van Eyck will produce unique trophies using its expertise and penchant for exquisite design. These trophies will be presented to the overall winner in each division of racing during this inaugural regatta series.

The Edmond de Rothschild Regatta Series will include the Royal Hong Kong Yacht Club’s Spring Regatta (16 to 17 May) and Autumn Regatta (19 to 20 September) with the cumulative results from both events used to determine the overall winner in ten classes of racing.

Torrey J. Dorsey, the Club’s Corporate and International Partnerships Manager, stated “The inaugural Edmond de Rothschild Regatta Series presents a unique opportunity for a jeweler to create something special for the overall winners. Like the IAAF Diamond League in athletics, we wanted to present a trophy unlike any other. Having previously worked with Alon Garty and Van Eyck Fine Jewelry last year for Audi China Coast Race Week, he and his team were the only choice given their constant quest to create unique and inspirational pieces. We are very excited to be working with Van Eyck again and equally excited to present their creations to the winners of this new regatta series!”

Alon Garty, Founder, Van Eyck Fine Jewelry said, “The Edmond de Rothschild Regatta Series hosted by the Royal Hong Kong Yacht Club is an outstanding opportunity to present our design and craftsmanship to an ideal audience. Having previously worked with the Club, we are excited to further develop our relationship with its discerning membership. We are equally excited about the opportunity to introduce our collection to the representatives and clients of the Edmond de Rothschild Group.”

About Van Eyck Jewelry

Van Eyck is a high-end Belgian jeweler pushing the boundaries of jewelry design and craftsmanship to create exquisite works of art from the finest diamonds, exclusively for world’s most discerning consumers.

Named after the remarkable Flemish painter Jan Van Eyck considered to be one of the most significant artists of the fifteenth Century, Van Eyck Jewelry represents the marriage of art and jewelry with strong heritage.

From its origins in the world’s diamond capital Antwerp, where Founder Alon Garty lived and worked, to the London-based Creative Designer Ivonna Poplanska who won the British Jubilee prize in 2012 for a broach she designed exclusively for Queen Elizabeth II, the brand has gathered remarkable experts to ensure its rings are well away from the norm.

Van Eyck’s inaugural collection, Birds of Papua, consists of just 25 intricately designed rings inspired by remarkable animals native to Papua. Only ten of each ring design will ever be made and once the 250-piece collection is released no more will ever become available.
