Replay coverage of the CYCA Land Rover Sydney Gold Coast Race start
The fleet got away to a clean start this afternoon in Sydney. The supermaxi, Wild Oats XI (Oatley family) led the 177 strong fleet through Sydney Heads, with ScallywagHK, the former Ragamuffin 100 in second place.
After turning the corner the supermaxis set Code Zeroes and ripped up the coast at 17kts in a moderate breeze with slight seas.

Scallywag is the former supermaxi Ragamuffin (Syd Fischer), now owned by Seng Huang, aged 41, who was born in Malaysia, but spent his formative years in Sydney. From his verandah in Elizabeth Bay, Seng watched the boats head out from Rushcutters Bay, every Boxing Day as they joined the Sydney to Hobart race. Recently, while he was out on Victoria Harbour in Hong Kong, on a rainy afternoon with skipper David Witt, the idea of purchasing Ragamuffin 100 and creating the leading Asian sailing team was hatched.
The name Scallywag, was coined by Seng Huang's then 5 year old daughter for his other sailboat, and coincidentally continues the illustrious legacy of the Ragamuffin name. As the owner of Hayman Island and the One and Only Resort in the Whitsundays, Seng Huang and Team Scallywag is looking forward to a tight race with the Oatley's Wild Oats XI, at this year's Audi Hamilton Island Race Week.
Scallywag will be sailing with a new mainsail from Doyle Sails and carrying sponsor Sun Hung Kai Financial on the new sail.
The sponsors of Scallywag are Bimbadgen Wines, One & Only, Ray White, Sunhung Kai Financial, Sanctuary Cove, Mulpha, Aveo, and Helly Hansen
