2014 Lipton Trophy presented by Old Mutual RHKYC / Xaume Olleros
The Lipton Trophy presented by Old Mutual takes place this Saturday 21 November in the eastern waters of Victoria Harbour.

The Lipton Trophy is a constituent event of the Top Dog Trophy Series 2015-2016 which incorporates last weekend’s Around The Island and three pursuit races - the Lipton Trophy, the Tomes Cup (Saturday 30 January 2016) and the HKRNVR Memorial Vase (Saturday 30 April 2016).

A pursuit race is one where each boat or class of boats is given staggered start times based on its assigned handicap rating (RHKATI number) which, in a perfect race, should result in all boats finishing at around the same time.

The series is open to all boats of the IRC Big Boat, Dragon, Etchells, Flying Fifteen, Impala, J/80, Pandora, Ruffian and Sportsboat classes. Boats from other classes may also be considered by the Race Committee on prior application.

Eligible boats may enter by completing the series entry form on or before 1800hrs on Friday 20 November 2015. Alternatively boats may enter on the day of racing this Saturday by completing the sign-on form in the RHKYC Course Room at least 15 minutes before their warning signal, but no later than 1430hrs.

The prizegiving for the Lipton Trophy presented by Old Mutual will be held at Kellett Island after racing at approximately 1830hrs.

Media representatives are invited to attend both the racing and the prizegiving afterwards.
