Guo Chuan to complete non-stop sailing - Arctic Ocean World Record Challenge Jean Marie Liot
Arctic Ocean World Record Challenge – Guo Chuan is the first Chinese skipper to complete a solo, non-stop circumnavigation of the globe in 2013 and is a former participant in the 2008-09 Volvo Ocean Race.
For this next adventure, he will sail with four crew from France, Germany and Russia to challenge the world record in non-stop sailing along the Northeast Passage in the Arctic Ocean. The extreme challenge is set to start from northern Russian port of Murmansk on September 3 with the finish line at the Bering Strait between Alaska and Russia about two weeks later.
