With the score three-nil in Emirates Team New Zealand's favor after one race - due to a two-race penalty imposed on Oracle by the International Jury for ACWS infractions - Oracle battled hard to mount a comeback in the second race. But despite a few tries at forcing ETNZ to foul, none of which worked, Oracle again lost to ETNZ. Final score going into day two; Emirates Team New Zealand - 4, Team Oracle USA - 0.
