With less than three months to go, the 5th Phuket International Boat Show – being held from 6-9 December at the prestigious Five Gold Anchor Award-winning Royal Phuket Marina – has received bookings from an impressive list of exhibitors.

The in-water allocation has been sold out once and now space for an additional 10 yachts has been added. Already 30 yachts have reserved space on the docks.

Brokers and dealers who have already reserved their positions include Lee Marine, Elite Yachting, Royal Phuket Marina Cruising Club, Starship Yachts, Derani Yachts, SEATboat, Kingfisher Marine, Asia Marine, Peninsular Boating, Max Marine Asia, Neptune Marine, Function Marine, Catathai, Best Dealz, Sedex Asia and Go Boating. A further six boats are already lined up for the onland display.

Bookings in the air conditioned hall continue apace and the new location is creating a healthy interest from both regular and new exhibitors.

Yacht brands already committed to display include Gulf Craft, Sunseeker, Bavaria Yachts, Cranchi, Rodman, Grady White Marlin, Tiara Sovran, Horizon, Hanse, Trawler, Fontaine Pajot, Grand Banks, Riviera, Jeanneau, Feretti, Pershing, Sea Ray, Sessi, Chapparal, AB inflatables, Correct Craft and many more.

Other marine suppliers include Bob’s Machine Shop, Sika, Precision Shipwright, East Marine, Bob Littler Accessories (BLA), Phuket Marine Group, Siam Cooling Systems, Watchara Marine, Sunnav and Marina Systems International.

Tanjong City Marina will be exhibiting along with The Village, a waterside villa project, and Twin Palms with their new Yachting product; other local Phuket marinas will be represented. Sunsail have also confirmed their space and the Thai Marine Business Association will exhibit for the first time.

All the indications are for a great show with exhibitors coming from all points internationally.

PIMEX is officially supported by the Thailand Convention and Exhibition Board, the Tourism Authority of Thailand and the Ministry of Sport and Tourism.

Adding a touch of drama, the inaugural Phuket International Dragon Boat Challenge Cup will take place in the marina basin during the show. Targeting up to 42 teams of 12 to compete in heats leading to the Grand Final, the winner will be sponsored to enter the Dragon Boat World Championships in Penang in Summer 2008. Other fun activities will be staged on site during the four days of the show, which will be a great day out for serious buyers and families alike.

Visiting Royal Phuket Marina and PIMEX will be a must during the second week of December!
