Getting stuck in during sail training Global Yacht Racing http://www.globalyachtracing.com
Being able to train for a new career whilst embarking on an exciting Atlantic crossing, exploring some of the most beautiful Caribbean sailing areas or sailing the Mediterranean is probably a big incentive in the decision to make a career change. An RYA Yachtmaster course with Global Yacht Training can take you on an exciting journey whilst you gain qualifications to take the step into a new industry.

Global Yacht Training is an RYA recognised sailing school which offers RYA Yachtmaster courses in sailing in unrivalled worldwide locations. As part of their training, students can sail in the UK, Caribbean and the Mediterranean or embark on a 1000 mile passage or cross the Atlantic Ocean. The company believes that it offers students the widest range of locations of any RYA sailing school. This new opportunity within sail training means that people can opt to undertake training in up to four different sailing areas. This provides a depth of experience to the graduates which were not previously available within the structure of a sailing course.

Global Yacht Training director Richard Falk says 'We believe that the quality of our RYA training, especially our Yachtmaster courses is greatly enhanced by the variety of the locations that we offer. If the student is planning to work in the sailing industry after qualifying it is a huge benefit to them to experience lots of different sailing waters, ports and weather systems.'

The RYA Yachtmaster qualification is for many people the first step into a new career. The internationally recognised RYA Yachtmaster qualification is a requirement for many top jobs in the yachting industry. Once qualified as a Yachtmaster you will need to undergo a straightforward medical exam and apply for commercial endorsement in order to work as a professional skipper with passengers. After graduating, you will be applying for jobs as a flotilla skipper or mate, delivery skipper and for yacht crew positions world-wide. With more experience, you could be in charge of a Mediterranean charter or teaching centre, be responsible for a fleet of charter yachts or land a great job working for a private race yacht owner.
