by Matias Collins on 15 Apr 2006
Tino Mora The Soling South American Championship Race Officer managed to put in three races in light winds at the first day. With a breeze of 8 to 10 knots at the first race and then a drop into the 5 knots the 6 legs windward leeward courses of 1.1 miles were raced in about 1hr and 20 min average.

The Brazilians VIPAL team with NEHM, RIBEIRO, RIBEIRO were the winners of the first race followed by the Argentine DOFOUR team with WARBURG, CELEDONI, SMITH and the American team with COLLINS, EZCURRA, MORILLO

Other two races were won by the PASTAACIUTTA team with BUSCH, TUFAROLO, FELDTMANN who places them into first a the overal count with 4,1,1. Second is DOFOUR team with 2,2,6 and third the Brazilians VIPAL with 1,3,10 due to an early start in the third race.

Races ended 18:00 hrs with tired sailors arriving the closed park at the Club Nautico San Isidro. They were received by a dilema what to choose, between the STELLA ARTOIS beer or the taste of a fine Malbec from FAMILIA ZUCCARDI VINES, for myself who choose both now only remain to know what can I do tomorrow in the race course...
