2016 SSL City Grand Slam angekündigt

Der Norddeutsche Regatta Verein (NRV) und die Hamburger (HF) und Lübecker (Lub) Starboot-Flotten freuen sich, zusammen mit der Star Sailors League (SSL) den ersten SSL City Grand Slam im Rahmen des 50. Erich F. Laeisz-Preises in der Zeit vom 02. - 08. Mai 2016 auf der Alster in Hamburg auszurichten.

2016 veranstalten der NRV, die Starboot-Flotten HF und Lub zusammen mit der SSL den ersten SSL City Grand Slam. Diese Veranstaltung findet anlässlich des Jubiläumsjahres der Hamburger und Lübecker Starbootflotten im Rahmen des 50. Erich F. Laeisz-Preises vom 02. - 08. Mai 2016 in Hamburg auf der Alster statt.

Ausgerichtet wird der 50. Erich F. Laeisz-Preis vom 1868 gegründeten Norddeutscher Regatta Verein. Die Jubiläen der Hamburger (*1931) und Lübecker (*1981) Starboot-Flotten werden gleichzeitig begangen.

Es werden über 60 Teams aus mehr als 15 Nationen erwartet, darunter Olympiagsieger und Weltmeister verschiedener Klassen. Das Preisgeld beträgt US$ 100,000,-, verteilt auf die Top 20 platzierten Teams und wird von der SSL vergeben. Es wird in der bislang olympischen Kielbootklasse - dem Starboot - gesegelt und für die Mannschaften kommt das Gewichtslimit der Starbootklasse (ISCYRA) zur Anwendung. Die Veranstaltung wird via 3D GPS-Tracking und TV-Live-Berichterstattung übertragen. Meldungen können ab Nov. 2015 über die Website der SSL erfolgen.
