2014 Tasar Victoria presentation

With the season about to kick off, the Victorian Tasars got together for the 2013/14 presentations. Between a highly competitive trivia quiz presented by Ronstan CEO Alistair Murray and a marshmallow/spaghetti building competition, most of the talk amongst the sailors was training plans for the up coming worlds in Busselton, Western Australia (tasar2015.com).

The winners of the trophies were:

Overall Season Winner (Peter Ellis/Charlotte Birbeck - Sandringham Yacht Club) - Beat the most number of boats in sanctioned events over the whole season.



Participation Winner (Chas and Lorraine Thompson - Cairn Curran Sailing Club) first competitor who competed in all sanctioned events around the state (plus a few more) - big thanks to Martyn Sly for providing a brand new jib as the prize.

2013/14 - Victorian State Titles - Super Grand Masters (Tony and Julie Creak - Royal Geelong Yacht Club) the inaugural presentation of the SGM.

2013 -Victorian Winter Series (Martyn and Sue Sly- Mordialloc Sailing Club).

GLOBE40 Leg 4 Update
Heading towards the Roaring Forties After a superb stopover in Sydney, the Class40s of the 2nd edition of the GLOBE40 set sail again on Thursday, January 1st at 3:00 PM local time (4:00 AM UTC) for the 4th leg, which will take them, after a transpacific crossing, to Valparaiso, Chile.
