Four time Gold Medal winner, Ben Ainslie (GBR) has a long time relationship with top Finn coach, David 'Sid' Howlett.
In this video, from the Royal Yachting Association, Howlett talks about their coaching relationship - and the key factors in Ainslie's success.
Howlett is a former UK Olympic representative in the Finn class, placing 7th in the 1976 Olympics, despite winning two races. He missed the 1980 Olympics due to the Boycott, and missed selection for 1984. After switching to coaching he has coached Mike McIntyre and Bryn Vaille to a Gold Medal in the Star class in Korea in 1988, and then Iain Percy to a Gold in the Finn in 2000, and Gold in the Star class in 2008. He was Ben Ainslie's coach in 2004 and 2012 Olympics, for a total of five Gold medals on two classes.
