2008 UK Contender Scene update..

The Contender class 2008 season kicked off last weekend at Alexandra Palace for the dinghy show with a busy stand as usual!

Next stop is Datchet water on the 15th/16th March for the first traveller’s trophy event for 2008. This year we have 13 events from Porthpean to Halifax - 6 events to count. The fleet has been split into gold, silver and bronze categories and with the help of our 2008 series sponsors Boat Bits, North Sails and Holden Design Services prizes will be awarded for all categories!

The UK National Championships takes place from May 10th-13th at Pwllheli Sailing Club. 10 races are planned over the 4 days. Magic Marine and craftinsure.com are sponsoring the biggest UK event in the calendar for 2008. Make sure your there!!

Then its time for a trip to Punta Ala in Tuscany, in the middle-north of Italy for the European Championships from May 31st-June 7th 2008. For more info take a look at the Europeans website at http://www.contender.it/euro2008/

The World Championships take place in Kington, Canada from the 16th-24th August. Go and check out the 2008 Worlds website at http://contenderworlds2008.blogspot.com/ to find out all you need to know about your trip!

Then finally we head back to Rutland in October for the Inland Championships!

IFCA Fin & Foil Slalom Europeans day 1

Allocation of entries for the 29er Worlds in Kiel
All countries will be allocated a minimum of three entries The 29er Class has not restricted entries for the World or European Championships in the past but due to the expected popularity of the Worlds in 2026 in Kiel we feel it is necessary to do an Entry Allocation.
