Singapore and Thailand Yacht Shows - dates

by SYE Media on 13 Oct 2016
Inaugural Thailand Yacht Show Phil Blake
Singapore Yacht Events Pte Ltd is delighted to announce the dates for the second edition of the Thailand Yacht Show (TYS) 15-18 December 2016 at Phuket’s Ao Po Grand Marina, and the seventh Singapore Yacht Show (SYS), four months later from 6-9 April 2017 at ONE°15 Marina Club in Sentosa Cove.

The two complementary shows are perfectly timed to bookend industry activity in the region. TYS will mark the beginning of the Asian yacht charter season while offering the chance to discover some of the best boats, yachts and superyachts available in the region. Visitors will have the chance to take part in exclusive sea-trials, check out on-water demonstrations, and explore some of the latest and greatest luxury, yachting and boating products. SYS will showcase an impressive line-up of regional boating and yachting premières thanks to the unprecedented support of global brands. Each Shows will offer visitors a bumper schedule of social events, parties and entertainment both on-land and on-water, including the Demo Platform with the return of Flyboard world-champion Suksan Tongthai.

Thailand Yacht Show 2016
TYS is thrilled to again be working in partnership with the Thai government, with the Ministry of Tourism & Sports and the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT), dedicated to promoting Thailand as the principal hub for yachting in Asia, owing to its superb cruising grounds and strategic location. With new dates for its second edition, the Thailand Yacht Show gives visitors the opportunity to head over to Phuket for the Show and extend their trip to stay there for the Christmas holidays.

Following the huge success of the first edition of the Show, an increasing number of the region’s premier yachting, boating and luxury brands have signed up for the forthcoming installment including Boat Lagoon Yachting, Lee Marine, Simpson Marine, Multihull Solutions and Leopard Catamarans among others.

Returning exhibitor, Boat Lagoon Yachting, has confirmed a line-up of eight yachts across a range of prestigious brands including a 32m Princess, and Jeanneau and Prestige Yachts.

Simpson Marine, one of Asia’s leading new and brokerage yacht sales companies, will return once again, presenting the stunning Italian-built superyacht, Sanlorenzo 46Steel, Forwin.

Local dealer Lee Marine will display a range of large yachts from some of the world’s most prestigious brands such as Ferretti, Custom Line, CRN and CDM among others.
Show organisers are delighted to welcome back the iconic Norman Foster-designed Ocean Emerald, which will be returning to Thailand’s shores this December. The ultimate yacht for an intimate charter, this contemporary masterpiece provides an expert crew of nine and Michelin star on-board dining.

From stylish superyachts to the latest boat launches, the Thailand Yacht Show promises to offer something for everyone! In an effort to further promote Thailand as South East Asia’s yachting destination, the Thailand Yacht Show is working closely with the Thai Marine Business Association (TMBA) to organize a ‘familiarisation’ trip for international charter brokerage professionals to discover some of South East Asia’s finest cruising grounds onboard a selection of the best charter yachts in the region.

Singapore Yacht Show 2017
The Show’s on-water berths are already filling up at ONE°15 Marina Club, with many of the world’s leading yacht and boat-building brands signed up to support the seventh edition of the Show. SYS is set to be the perfect platform for the regional launch of their boats. This year’s line-up already features more than ten regional premières - and with more on the horizon the list is only set to grow!

The show will feature luxury yacht models from various brands, and Ferretti Group, in partnership with their regional dealer Hong Seh Marine, will present no less than three Asian premières, and founding exhibitor Simpson Marine will showcase a fleet of the latest boats and yachts from Sanlorenzo and the Beneteau Group including the Asian première of the Lagoon Seventy 7, the popular catamaran brand’s latest and largest offering to date, which will be prominently displayed on the Show’s Flagship Berth.

Some of the world’s most reputable building yards have also confirmed their participation in the Show’s Superyacht Pavilion. This year the list has expanded to cover every global market, with Amels, Baglietto, Benetti, Feadship and Heesen from Europe, Westport from the USA and Heysea from China. All of the yards will be showcasing their very latest design concepts for visitors to discover.
