Carolina Yacht Club to host 2018 Sunfish World Championships

Carolina Yacht Club, (Wrightsville Beach, NC) will be hosting the 2018 World Championships October 3 through October 13, 2018.

Youth Worlds check-in will be October 3 and 4. Racing will take place October 5 through October 7.

Worlds check-in will be October 7 and 8. Racing will take place October 9 through October 13.

Carolina Yacht Club was the 2009 recipient of the St Petersburg Trophy and has hosted major sailing events in the past such as the 1992 Fireball Worlds, 2001 and 2005 Laser US Nationals, 2000 and 2011 Laser ACCs, 2005 and 2013 Lightning ACCs, 2014 and 2015 Sunfish Southeast Regionals, and the Annual SAYRA Regatta, which has well over 100 boats, with multiple classes and courses.
