Sébastien Josse (Edmond de Rothschild), has finished second in the inaugural 2016 New York – Vendée (Les Sables d’Olonne) Race presented by Currency House and SpaceCode.
The French skipper, Sébastien Josse (Edmond de Rothschild), crossed the finish line off Les Sables d’Olonne at 17:06:49 (French time). Josse covered the course in nine days 19 hrs 26 mins and 49 seconds. He finished two hours 28 minutes and 57 seconds behind the winner, Jérémie Beyou, (Maître CoQ).
Josse sailed 3460 miles at an average speed of 14,7 knots.
Note: the theoretical race course was 3,100 miles.
