Taiwan flexes megayacht might, Superyacht Aust seeks GBRMPA plan

This week, Taiwan is the flavour of our news and features. This world power in yacht building - seventh in terms of output in the superyacht and megayacht sector - is eager to be seen on a global stage as an innovator, pioneer and rising force, with yacht builders hosting an international media contingent for a tour of factories, insight into its ambition and preview of its inaugural Taiwan International Boat Show scheduled for April 2014.
Close to China in geography and cultural/administrative ties, Taiwan looks to its massive population for potential clients with a burgeoning appetite for yachts, while still focusing on growth in the US and other markets, including Australia.
