The latest models from Riviera, Australia’s largest and most awarded luxury boat builder has attracted strong international interest with 50 per cent of retail sales confirmed over the four days of the Riviera Festival and Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show coming from overseas customers.

Riviera achieved more than AUD$10 million in retail sales as a direct result of the Festival and Sanctuary Cove boat shows including a new 63 Enclosed Flybridge bound for Puerto Rico, a 45 Enclosed Flybridge bound for Phuket in Thailand, a 5000 Sport Yacht to Florida, a 4400 Sport Yacht to Sydney and several ‘off the plan’ orders for the new 49 Enclosed Flybridge, which was announced at the opening of the shows and is due for release mid-2013.

Riviera’s director of brand and communications Stephen Milne said the results from the Riviera Festival and Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show was extremely pleasing.

'So far we have signed $10.3 million in retail sales for several of our newest models and we also secured two Belize 52 Motoryacht sales. Again these are both retail sold through our dealers to a client in Perth and a client in Puerto Rico,' Mr Milne said.

'We had a significant number of overseas Riviera owners, prospective clients and dealers drawn to Australia for our Festival, and thus the international sales, which was 50 per cent of our total sales, was a very pleasing result.

'Right now our dealers are very busy following up quality enquiries from the shows with trade boats being valued and new boats being specified and quoted.

'We expect to equal or better our result from this period last year.'
Riviera Syndication also achieved strong sales at this year’s Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show.

Managing Director John Russell said they had sold three shares in the 5800 Sport Yacht located in Sydney and two shares in the 5800 Sport Yacht based at Sanctuary Cove.

'We were extremely pleased to welcome two new Riviera owners to our Syndication family and look forward to introducing them to the boating lifestyle,' he said.

'Our customised Riviera 5800 Sport Yacht certainly wowed many of the show patrons who appreciated the design, layout and features, with many saying that it was the best boat at the show. It was again pleasing to have our owners from all around the country onboard the boat and sharing their Syndication experience with others.'

Overall, Riviera’s international sales success is a positive sign that the global boating market is on the rise and the company looks forward to future success at next year’s shows.

The 2013 Riviera Festival will be held at Riviera’s Coomera facility from May 23 to 26. For more information or priority registrations contact your dealer.
