Applications are sought from suitably qualified personnel in the marina industries to apply for a scholarship to attend the Advanced Marina Management (AMM) School being held in Sydney in September. The scholarship is offered by Bellingham Marine Australia through the Marina Industries Association (MIA).

The Bellingham AMM Education Scholarship covers participation costs for the AMM School, 22-27 September 2013. The School will be conducted by the MIA. Suitably experienced marina personnel within the Australian/Asian region who meet the criteria, which includes at least three years management experience, are encouraged to apply.

The AMM School is certified by the Global Marina Institute (GMI) and is part of a well-recognised career pathway for the marina industries. Successful participants may choose to progress to the next level and apply for professional certification.

Andrew Chapman, President of the MIA said 'The marina industry is extremely appreciative of Bellingham Marine Australia for supporting the professional development of the region’s marina industry'.

Bellingham Marine Australian Manager John Spragg said Bellingham recognise the importance of a professional and well trained industry. 'Bellingham has a long history of supporting the development and professionalism of the marina industry across the world. This scholarship is another initiative we are proud to be associated with.'

Detailed scholarship information is available by contacting the MIA. Applications close on Friday 9 August.
