Pantaenius partners with ASMEX 2013

by AIMEX/Superyacht Australia on 14 Jan 2013
SW
Pantaenius a global leader in superyacht insurance has confirmed a Platinum Partnership with the 2013 Australian Superyacht and Marine Export Conference (ASMEX).

Pantaenius has been insuring yachts and resolving their claims around the world for more than 40 years. Over the years, Pantaenius has built up a formidable network of agents, surveyors and repairers. With over 70,000 yacht owners trusting Pantaenius for their insurance, the company is the largest yacht insurance provider in Europe and a remarkable market player worldwide.

The international teams in the United Kingdom, Mediterranean, Scandinavia, Austria, Australia and America provide local advice and service in several national languages.

In a push to increase awareness of their recently launched branch in Australia, Pantaenius sees the Australian Superyacht and Marine Export Conference as a significant platform in which to profile their products and services to this market.

Pantaenius General Manager Martin Baum said 'Due to their extensive infrastructure for maintenance, repairs and all kinds of yacht services, Australia and New Zealand are important stopovers for many circumnavigators. For Pantaenius as a truly global yacht insurance provider, it was therefore a logical step to enter the Australian market.

'We wanted to be where our customers are and support our boats whenever they need it. Moreover, we felt that it was imperative to extend our insurance services to these areas, as previously yachts that cruise internationally had no real port of call for insurance services on the Red continent.'

'Another logical move for us was to become Platinum Partners with ASMEX, as they have maintained the right partners for many years and succeeded in developing a first-class infrastructure for superyachts' said Baum.

Baum will also be speaking at the ASMEX Conference providing an overview of the market from an insurer’s perspective.

AIMEX and Superyacht Australia CEO MaryAnne Edwards said 'The decision by Pantaenius to align with the ASMEX Conference is a clear indication of the significance of the Conference to the industry and the global profile and credibility of Superyacht Australia as the peak body for the Superyacht industry'

ASMEX is the key Australian industry conference organized by the Australian International Marine Export Group and Superyacht Australia. In 2013 the conference will be held for the third time on May 21-22 and staged at the InterContinental Resort Sanctuary Cove (formerly Hyatt Regency), Queensland. This informative conference will again attract key international and Australian stakeholders keen to discuss the future of the superyacht industry in this region.

Support of ASMEX 2013 is strong with Pantaenius as Platinum Partners and other supporters including the Gold Coast City Council, Business Gold Coast, Queensland Government, Tourism Australia, Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show, Aqualuma Marine Lighting, Muirs and Ocean Media.
