Catamaran enthusiasts are in for a treat with Multihull Solutions staging the official Australasian launch of three remarkable new models at the 2013 Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show.
The brand new Fountaine Pajot Helia 44 sailing catamaran will be on display, along with the new Catana 42 and the 2013 model Summerland 40 power catamaran by Fountaine Pajot Motor Yachts.
Multihull Solutions managing director Mark Elkington said the triple launch is expected to draw strong crowds to the company’s stand in E Arm of the marina.
'These three catamarans are already enjoying critical acclaim since their launch in Europe late last year, and we have been receiving a huge amount of enquiries from Australian and New Zealand buyers who are keen to inspect them,' Mark said.
With its name derived from the Greek term for ‘ray of light’, the Helia 44 is the nineteenth model launched by Fountaine Pajot in the company’s 30-year history and more than 20 have already been sold since its launch late last year.
The Hélia 44 looks set to be one of the company’s most successful models in history with only two Hélia 44's left for ex-factory delivery this year, and only four available for delivery into Australia or New Zealand before May 2014.
The exciting new blue water cruising catamaran delivers impressive offshore performance, optimal safety and ease of handling, and it is characterised by a contemporary design befitting much larger, luxury boats. Featuring majestic lines, sleek horizontal styling and flush solar panels, the Helia 44 also has a new lounge deck and huge volumes in the light-filled saloon and cabins, making it the epitome of live-aboard luxury.
The superb lounge deck is fitted with roof lights, sofa and coffee table, and is integrated on one level with the cockpit. With the galley opening onto this spacious cockpit, the Helia 44 boasts 50m2 of entertaining space, complemented by cockpit features that include a U-shaped galley, large dining table, bench seating for ten guests, lounge to enjoy the view, ample storage and optional fridge and icemaker.
The Hélia 44 is a positive energy catamaran with an Eco Cruising option and can also be fitted with embedded solar panels to maximise performance, plus a hydrogenerator and wind turbine.
The new Catana 42 is also set to impress multihull enthusiasts with its advanced construction and astonishing speed.
Recording nearly 22 knots during a 2012 European sea trial, the Catana 42 sails at incredible speeds due to the comprehensive range of exclusive technical innovations including a carbon infusion construction process. The catamaran’s unique beam/length ratio, adjustable daggerboards, tilted and tulip-shaped bows, aerodynamic coach-roof and torpedo-shaped hulls make the Catana 42 a revolution in the marine industry.
The Catana 42 has an ambient and spacious interior with 360° panoramic views from generous windows. With direct access to the cockpit, its saloon is the hub of the boat and is equipped with an abundance of storage space. The light-filled cabins, excellent ventilation, contemporary interior design, thermal and audio insulation, all come together to make life on board easier and more comfortable.
Also on display at the show will be the revitalised Summerland 40. Sparkling with a host of upgrades and a stunning interior makeover, the popular catamaran by Fountaine Pajot Motor Yachts continues to impress with its very low fuel consumption.
The new model Summerland 40 catamaran has a newly designed saloon that provides 360 degree visibility through panoramic windows, additional storage space, and improved integration of the galley and cockpit areas.
All of the cabins have been upgraded with premium quality finishes and fixtures, and the flybridge has been revised to optimise spaciousness.
In addition to these three launchings, Multihull Solutions will be showcasing a range of premium pre-owned multihulls in a special Brokerage section of their boat show stand.
