Malcolm Page
Yachting Australian Discover Sailing Ambassador
Malcolm Page is one of the world’s elite sailors, taking his second Olympic Gold in Weymouth in August 2012 to cap a career that has seen him win at every level of sailing around the world, including five-times 470 World Champion. The flag bearer for the Australian Olympic Team at the 2012 Games closing ceremony, Malcolm is now embracing his role as YA Discover Sailing Ambassador and will join a Marine13 panel with speakers from the USA and UK to discuss how to introduce more people into sailing and boating. Malcolm will also tell his story of winning in Weymouth to provide an inspirational start to the second day of Marine13.
Peter Corcoran
Director of Maritime Safety, Transport Safety Victoria
Peter Corcoran joined Transport Safety Victoria as the Director of Maritime Safety in September 2011. Prior to that Peter spent three years working in public transport management and six years at the former Marine Safety Victoria in a number of roles including Manager Recreational Boating and Manager Safety Systems and Risk.
Peter is a keen sea kayaker and will be talking about how new approaches to managing the growing trend for people to enjoy their boating aboard passive craft, such as kayaks, small sail boats, and kiteboards – educating while also regulating to ensure safety of all on the water.
Multiple Delegate Registration Incentive
In response to strong support from the boating, marinas and boating safety sectors for the expansive program of the Marine13 International Conference and Exhibition, the Marine13 Organising Committee is pleased to announce a multiple-delegate registration initiative.
