Helly Hansen support Manly Yacht Club Women’s Challenge 2012

by Ivana Gattegno on 13 Mar 2012
Invitation to race - Manly Yacht Club Helly Hansen Womens Challenge 2012 ivana gattegno
Helly Hansen has again partnered with Manly Yacht Club for the 2012 Women’s Challenge.

The event has been running for 17 years and has been strongly supporting and encouraging women and girls to get behind the wheel or tiller and helm a boat.

Manly Yacht Club fosters friendship and healthy competition in the sailing community and encourages entries from all clubs in Sydney.

Over the years the fleet has grown to approximately 10 divisions and features sailing races for every level of sailing experience; Juniors, spinnaker and non spinnakers, centreboards and the Access dinghy.

A fleet of possibly 50 boats is expected.

Helly Hansen will award prizes for each division and also for the largest one design fleet.

The hotly contested division will be the All Girl Crew division 1.

Best of luck to all the women and girls and to the men who crew for them.

Many thanks to the boat owners who show support and encouragement by lending their boats for this exciting event.

The event takes place on the 25th March 2012 and we wish all competitors and sailors the best of luck.

Helly Hansen and Manly Yacht Club Women’s Challenge - A winning partnership.
