As Oracle Team USA closed up shop on its second training session in Sydney, the team was also looking ahead to an upcoming foiling camp.

According to sailor Kinley Fowler, this session was valuable race practice with Team Australia coming on strong and providing real competition.

'The weather’s been good, it’s held up for us with a variety of conditions,' Fowler said. 'It’s been good training against Team Australia this time around as they’ve really started to push us.'

As the AC45 gets packed up, the team is already looking ahead to its next gathering - a ‘foiling camp’ on Lake Macquarie.

'The future in the America’s Cup is foiling boats, so we have a couple of foiling Phantoms and 6 or 7 foiling Moths throughout the team and we’re going to meet in a few weeks at Lake Macquarie for a foiling camp,' explained sailor Joey Newton.

'We’ll get together to sail and to try to get better at foiling personally. We’ll all be steering and we’ll take turns and just have some fun with it.

'A few of us starting out in the Moths are expecting to get schooled pretty bad - but I’m hoping to stay in front of Kyle (Langford) anyway!'
