Yandoo shows winning form - 18ft Skiffs Alice Burton Memorial Trophy 2012 Frank Quealey /Australian 18 Footers League http://www.18footers.com.au
18 footer Yandoo was too solid, for the rest in the Alice Burton Memorial Trophy, in Sunday's gusty Southerly 3 Buoy Handicap.

John 'Woody' Winning, David Gibson and Andrew Hay displayed all their fresh air skills on the bouncy spinnaker run to Chowder Bay, sailing fast and importantly upright, to win by over four minutes to Brett Van Munster's Kenwood Rabbitohs crew. Trevor Barnabus helmed Lumix was third.

Yandoo and Kenwood were the only skiffs to avoid capsizing. Matt Wark, bow on Tom Clout's Pure Blonde, broke his thumb in a spectacular gybe crash on the first dash to Chowder Bay.

Next Sunday 25th, is a scratch and the final race of the 18ft League's 2011-12 season.
