The Valencian event is part of the program of the Olympic Week Comunitat Valencia, taking place between January 31st and February 4th.

Starting on Saturday, February 3, the Finn (28), Vaurien (5) and Snipe (27) classes will be joined.

The Olympic Week of the Comunitat Valenciana 2024 raises the curtain at the Real Club Náutico de Valencia. It does so with a main course and with the 29er class as protagonist in the first instance since from today Wednesday until Sunday 4 will compete in the regatta area 'Manel Casanova' with three attractions. On the one hand, the regatta is scoring for the Eurocup circuit, which comes for the first time in the club of the capital of the Turia. It is also in contention for the national 29er class, in addition to the Olympic Week trophy.

From Saturday, February 3rd, the Finn, Vaurien and Snipe classes will be added to the sports program. The first of these has 28 entries, in the absence of the official closing of entries. The other two classes have 5 and 27 entries respectively, which translates into a great celebration of dinghy sailing in the waters of Valencia along with the 60 29er boats representing 9 countries.

In this first installment there is a high level among the fleet, with a strong local color, since the big favorites are in the RCN of Valencia, as in the case of the brothers Mateo and Simon Codoñer or the sisters Sara and Isa Momplet.

Along with them, Elena de Tomás and Obdulia Fernández enter the podium pools, without forgetting the powerful Canary 29er fleet that remains a benchmark in the class at national and international level, having as best flagships and with all sights set on the podium with the tandem Paula and Isabel Laiseca.

At international level it will be necessary to watch, and a lot, the representatives of Italy, Switzerland and France, without forgetting Germany always in podium positions in the main international regattas.

The race committee has on the agenda a total of 16 races for the 29er, four scheduled for each day. The wind conditions, at the moment, are not entirely good, pointing at this start of the competition to little wind.
